The AMOCO CADIZ ran aground off the coast of Brittany, France on March 16, 1978, spilling 68.7 million gallons of oil.

26 years ago it was the first and biggest oil disaster in the world.

 It currently is #6 on the list of the largest oil spills of all time.

Now, 26 years later the amoco cadiz is one of the biggest wrecks in the world
With 340m the Amoco Cadiz was 65m longer than the Titanic.
Today you can only see the hull, but it´s 52m high ( 20m are sunk into the sand).
